During your first visit, you’ll be asked to complete a health history form and consult with the colon hydrotherapist. From there, the procedure is fairly easy, painless and lasts no more than 45 minutes. First, the hydrotherapist will gently insert a disposable tube into the rectum and begin allowing warm water to slowly enter the colon. The water loosens and flushes out fecal matter, which the hydrotherapist can see through a clear window in the colonic machine. This allows her to observe anything of concern, such as parasites or undigested food. She may carefully massage your abdomen to assist in the elimination of lodged waste. Once the hydrotherapy portion of the process is complete, you will have the opportunity to use the bathroom to release any remaining water and feces.
